In November, Alabama Veteran along with a humble owner of a local restaurant hosted a meal for Veterans and Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) in the Central Alabama area. Many outdoor stores and local businesses selflessly donated memberships, sporting goods, gift cards, and annual gun range memberships in support those who attended the meal. The focus of the event was to connect people and show Veterans that they is still have brothers and sisters out there, who are Veterans, that want to connect and help those in need.
Often we see veterans fall to the way side because they don’t know how to reach out for what they need. With Alabama Veteran one of our main missions is to get out into our community and tighten up the ranks. Offering Veterans visibility and connection to the services that are there to help them, while focusing on creating a strong and very much needed network to assist veterans locally.
Alabama Veteran is a group of veterans that see firsthand how much clarity, compassion and unity can impact our fellow veterans. Our hope is to extend a hand to any Veteran who may be in need or wants to connect. We are so thankful for the community involvement in our mission. We plan to continue these meals and to connect VSOs to veterans by creating higher visibility and individual connections.
We would love for you to join us. Please reach out if you have questions or would like to be involved.
